Through meditation, reflection, and reaction to the world around her, Jennifer J. L. Jones continually explores the idea of energy and beauty through color, texture and the influence of nature. Using a combination of mediums such as wax, metal, asphalt, oil paint, and paper textures she evokes emotions, thoughts and universal connecting points in the observer.
One of the many interesting aspects of her paintings is their surface texture. Her intuitive process involves multiple layers. She adds, removes, distresses, and adds again, resulting in a rich organic patina. Her paintings range in size from 8x8 inch square to over ten by twelve-feet. All of Jennifer’s works are mixed media on wood panels.
Jennifer’s work can be found in gallery exhibitions and in private and corporate collections throughout the world. Jennifer received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1994. Her studio is in Atlanta, Georgia. She is represented internationally by these galleries and fine art consultants.
